“Keep your eyes on the prize” is a phrase that comes from the title of a song that was influential during the civil rights movement of the 1950’s and 60’s.
Keeping one’s attention focused on what is wanted most is especially important these days with so much going on and so many distractions.
The best thing we can do for ourselves, our family, our community and our world is to focus on the present moment — again and again.
As we rest our attention in the field of living silence, we become more grounded in the truth of Life. The mind might think that nothing is happening but it’s not good at assessing this in-finite field.
The closer we stay to this awareness the better our life goes and the less we are swept away by the currents of the mind.
